Moti Bagh is a residential area located in South Delhi, India. It has a very posh neighbourhoods and the scenic beauty of this place makes it more calmer and suitable for settlement. This place has trees planted all over the area. It was developed in the year 1960s. Currently it is divided into two parts- the south Moti Bagh and the north Moti Bagh. This place was ruled and developed by a king. The name of this place was taken from ‘Bagh’ which in literal language means garden.

Redevelopmental Plans

It is the official residential area to the civil servants, members of the railway, employees serving the government and some official posts of the military forces. In the year 2002, new Moti Bagh started its construction for more developments which took almost five years to get completed. The two most richest places of Delhi are Shanti Niketan and Anand Niketan are closely situated to this place.

This place is quickly accessible from the AIIMS and Indira Gandhi International Airport by all means of transport. The closest metro station is the Dhuala Kaun metro station. Well the Moti Bagh Delhi metro station is under construction which is located on the pink line of the city. The north-west side of the Moti Bagh has two major markets- Begum Zaidi market and Basrurkar Market. There is just one hospital and a clinics near the market area. There are total eight schools in Moti Bagh area, out of which five in north and the rest three in south.
